Bubblenaut

Description

Explore the depths of space as a Bubblenaut, an astronaut that uses bubbles to traverse through the cosmos in hopes of finding secret treasures and keeping your space-ship running by scavenging abandoned space vessels in order to repair your own.

Help Bubble Jorge, an experienced Bubblenaut, make use of his latest bubble-powered launcher, The B.B.L. (Big Bubble Launcher) to maneuver through cemeteries of ships and planets to find the universe's biggest treasures... or run out of bubbles trying.

Controls:

WASD / Left Joystick (Xbox/Playstation) - Move

Space / A (Xbox) / X (Playstation) - Jump

F / B (Xbox) / O (Playstation) - Tap to spawn bubble, hold to launch

E / X (Xbox) / Square (Playstation) - Bubble jump (only when unlocked)

C / RT (Xbox) / R2 (Playstation) - Hold to zoom out

This project was made for the 2025 Global Game Jam in January that had the theme "Bubbles". In the downloads below you can find an updated version of the game, or if you are curious to see how it all started, you can play the original build made in 48 hours for the jam! Have fun :)
